The creature medallion was inspired by one of my favorite books, Women who run with the Wolves. The author, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, often uses the word "criatura" (spanish for "creature") in reference to the Wild nature of the feminine psyche. Femininity is inherently wild and ferocious!!! We are creatures of the wild order.
